Dr. Girish Rao is a Faciomaxillary Surgeon-a specialist in Aesthetic or cosmetic procedures, Trauma and Reconstructive facial surgery. Having done his masters program in India he obtained two fellow-ships from the Royal college of surgeons of England and Ireland. He got intensive training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in England in various hospitals and worked as a Senior Specialist Registrar at the Prestigeous St.Bartholomew’s Hospital and Royal London Hospital, London, UK.

Dr. Girish Rao has been in practice more than 30 years and has a strong continuous interest in education, providing clinical and educational training to his other colleagues. As part of his interest in ongoing education, Dr. Girish also researches, prepares and delivers presentations in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at national and International Maxillofacial conferences. He has a special interest in research and is carrying out many collaborative research in Japan, India and also UK in the fields of oral cancer and genetics.
Dr Girish Rao is currently working as Professor & Heads the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at R.V Dental college & Hospital, Bangalore, India. He is also Senior Consultant and operates in various multispeciality and state of the art hospitlas in Bangalore such as Sagar Apollo, NIMHANS, Bangalore Institute of Oncology, Ramakrishna Hospital for Trauma, Cancer, Craniofacial, Cosmetic and Congenital problems.
